Painfully Slow Progress

Been away for almost a year, and now my son was born and he is 3 months old on the 8th this month. I think I'm ready to continue on this project. I decided against to create a trailer for this film, instead I'm going straight to create a short film version right away. I've written the script for it which I will let someone with experience to read it and comment on it. I will keep the script P & C at the moment but will publish key scenes from the film.

Introduction

This project was codenamed Talu-Talu, would be my second film since 2005. For this new film, its a giant leap from my previous project. This would be an animation short film which i foresee would be release early 2010 (around March, i hope). Currently, i am concentrating to produce few short episodes of it which for the time being was done entirely by me.

The task of solo film making is very hard. So, i choose a very broad subject and the story can evolve organically as i in production of modelling, texturing, rigging, animating and compositing. Basically, its a journey story which in each episode there is a conflict and resolution.

Synopsis

A decorated love torn Martian warrior voluntarily embarks on a journey outside the safe castle in a dangerous post-apocalyptic earth to find his purpose of existance and to reclaim the vast majority of the empire's CO2 fuel rigs that symbolizes the empire's glory

World:

Fragments of earth survives with small mostly hostile civilisations and tribes living scattered thoughout the earth remains. Each fighting for Carbon Dioxides (CO2) for fuel which the previous human rule left behind.

Characters

Hero (Codenamed Talu-Talu)

He is a Martian that came to earth during the second wave. The planet Mars has its CO2 resources depleted and every being throughout the galaxy is coming to earth as its CO2 gas is very high. Little known about his facts other than:

- Very good fighting skill

- Very resourceful

Giant Robot

Is a mercenary which can be bought, rented or tamed. Basically, its purpose is to claim as many

CO2 fuels for its master. It was being said that the robots head is only a small fragment and it can

merge into another robot to form a gigantic robot.
